An opportunity for an experienced, mature and industry seasoned General Operations Manager is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle. We are seeking a strong leader with a proven track record, stable and long-serving employment history, who leads his staff by example. An individual with unparalleled integrity, honesty and discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Business Operations Management (All business departments, workshops, sites, projects)
  • Staff management and delegation
  • Mining, Heavy Industry, Engineering, Workshop, Manufacturing sectors exposure
  • Technical management skills
  • Financial management skills
  • Project costing, profit feasibility
  • Ability to represent the company at a Senior Level

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Relevant tertiary qualification: NQF 6 or above (preferred)
  • Min 10 years’ experience at a General / Operations or Senior Management level (required)
  • Strong business acumen (Financial, budgets, forecasting, sales, administration, procurement, workshop etc)
  • QA / QC Management (with ISO experience)
  • Auditing experience/exposure
  • Health & Safety
  • Driver’s licence
  • Computer literate (Advanced Excel)
  • Traceable references (Background screening / Verifications clear)
  • Newcastle residency required (Relocation not included)

Package & Remuneration
