A Hull based company is looking to recruit a Production Scheduler to join their team at an exciting time of development, with ambitious plans for growth and a number of interesting upcoming projects.

Purpose of the Production Scheduler role: The role will be reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with the Production Lead. The primary objectives of this role are to maintain quality standards, maximise efficiencies, and plan production operations.

If you are the right person for this role, you will be reliable and passionate about doing things properly. You will have a proven track record of planning production and tracking efficiencies in a production environment.

Main duties and responsibilities of a Production Scheduler:

  • Production & material scheduling
  • Support Production Lead with process development
  • Preparation of documentation for build
  • Issuing work order packs for production
  • Monitor build times and efficiencies
  • Report on key metrics to Production Lead
  • Quality Control
  • H&S permits admin on minor work
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation
  • Provide cover for key duties of Production Lead
  • Liaise with other departments including procurement and engineering

Experience / knowledge requirements for a Production Scheduler:

  • Proven experience in a production scheduling / production assistant role
  • Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Full driving licence
  • Excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • High levels of written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of production and accounts software packages (e.g. Sage / CIM50) (desirable)
  • Health and Safety qualifications (IOSH / NEBOSH) (desirable)
  • Production qualifications (desirable)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices (desirable)
  • Knowledge / experience of working to ISO9001 quality standards (desirable)
