Are you a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with hands-on experience in the automotive sector? Do you have a solid understanding of painted aesthetic components and enjoy working in a customer-facing environment?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Resident Quality Inspector to join a leading project supporting painted large Automotice components, part of this role will be travel based between sites of theirmain operational base in woking but also their clients in both Gaydon and St Athan where all travel expenses will be covered by the business

Key Responsibilities:

Represent our client as an on-site quality expert in a high-profile automotive environment

Inspect and assess large body-coloured plastic components for paint quality and finish

Interact directly with customer representatives to ensure high standards are met

Perform basic rework tasks such as gluing, polishing, and trimming where required

Maintain quality records and provide feedback to internal teams on recurring issues

Support continuous improvement and ensure adherence to paint standards and cosmetic quality

About You:

Previous experience in a quality-focused role within the automotive industry
Comfortable in customer-facing situations with strong communication skills
Working knowledge of paint standards and terminology
Familiar with gluing and painting processes
Able to carry out basic manual rework on components (trimming, polishing, etc.)
Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards
