Are you a detail-driven Design Engineer who enjoys seeing your concepts brought to life in a real production environment? We are working with a well-established engineering business based in Witney who are looking to add a talented 3D CAD professional to their close-knit team. As the Design Engineer you will take ownership of designs from concept through to manufacture, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure high-quality, practical engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing as the Design Engineer:
- Producing accurate 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
- Designing components and assemblies for manufacture, with a strong focus on practicality and safety
- Supporting production by considering tooling, materials, and assembly methods during the design phase
- Getting involved in prototype development and new product introduction
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the design and production process
Experience using SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software) in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and ability to apply calculations to design work.
An interest in mechanical systems, hydraulics, or fluid power (experience is beneficial but not essential).
