This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-specification components across industries including medical, semiconductor, nuclear, and scientific engineering using state-of-the-art CNC machinery and inspection equipment. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce complex precision components to tight tolerances.
The Role
- Programming, setting, and operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC milling machines
- Working from detailed engineering drawings
- Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
- Creating tooling and setup documentation for repeatable manufacturing processes
- Self-inspection using measuring equipment and quality documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement and process optimisation
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional working environment
About You
- Strong CNC milling background within precision engineering
- Experience programming and operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis machines
- Good knowledge of Heidenhain controls
- Fanuc experience would be beneficial
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Positive attitude with strong attention to detail and quality
Desirable Experience
- Doosan, Matsuura, or Mazak machinery
- Large component machining
- CMM or inspection experience
- Apprenticeship trained or equivalent engineering experience
