You will be rewarded fairly and promoted based on merit and performance Professional and personal development through training and work experiences Strong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employees Purpose of the Manufacturing Manager role: The manufacturing manager plays a key role in overseeing the production process in a manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, and at the desired quality standards while adhering to safety, environmental, and budgetary guidelines. You will be responsible for the following: production planning/scheduling; Costing/Budgeting; Process improvement; Quality and Health and safety. Main duties and responsibilities of Manufacturing Manager: Manage the operation and achieve planned profitability Plan, monitor and improve manufacturing performance to ensure lowest operating costs against industry and World Class Performance standards Define priorities and continuous improvement activities through the use of Plant KPIs Ensure that the Ends department is run and managed in collaboration with Safety, HR, Environment, Quality, Production, Engineering and Cost Control to ensure that shared goals across each function are met Build solid working teams within the Plant to ensure continuous improvements in all aspects of manufacturing Select, develop and train employees who are capable of contributing effectively to the business Enact effective coaching, directing and development of your team of first line reports Motivate and drive the team to achieve challenging business objectives Ensure the Health & Safety of the team in line with all statutory and company safety requirements Ensure that the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction are achieved by way of product quality, timely delivery and response. Experience / knowledge requirements Industrial or Mechanical Engineer, with a BS degree in in an Engineering discipline or similar technical field 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing / Production Manager either in the sustainable metal packaging industry or in another relevant industry E.g. automotive, FMCG, other raw material packaging etc. Proven track record of successfully managing skilled engineering teams to ensure they deliver on demanding KPI’s Experience in implementing and using continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing to drive improvements Knowledge of food safely and other management systems Please call Aimee today on (phone number removed) or click `apply’ and submit your most recent CV to be considered
