Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Nights Salary: Up to to £43k Location: Featherstone Hours: Monday to Friday 10pm-6am The Recruitment Group is working with a market leading co-packer, with over 30 years of experience, they provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing and co-manufacturing solutions. Purpose of the Shift Engineer: The shift engineer will provide essential engineering expertise to support Operations in reducing and eliminating downtime. This role involves both proactive and reactive maintenance. Main duties and responsibilities of the Shift Engineer: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Identifying and resolving any potential issues before they cause failures. Respond rapidly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose the problems and perform repairs or report back to engineering team leader if external specialists are required. Carry out machine adjustments, Size changes, machine settings when mods are made. This is to help support the production function. Monitor and Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and safe standards are met. Keep accurate records of maintenance i.e. PPM schedules, Shift Reporting etc. Adhere to health & safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. May from time to get involved with project work to get equipment back up to standard which would assist in helping production performance figures. Familiar with maintaining packing equipment would be an advantage Experience/knowledge requirements for the Shift Engineer: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within the FMCG industry NVQ level 2 qualifications or equivalent ONC Mechanical/Electrical, BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery including baggers, multi-heads, conveyors and packaging equipment 17th edition wiring regulation regulations would be advantageous Experience of pneumatics, horizontal flow packers, vertical form fill baggers, carton erectors, multi-Heads, Gluing systems, Metal detectors/check weighers, X-ray, Various bespoke hand packing/labelling lines some with printers Please call Stacy at The Recruitment Group to find out more about this position
