We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Production Line Leader to join a busy manufacturing environment in Featherstone, Pontefract. This temp to perm Production Line Leader role is ideal for candidates with Line Leader or Team Leader experience within manufacturing or food production environments. The successful Production Line Leader will be responsible for managing production lines, leading teams, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.
Shift Patterns & Pay Rates
- Rotating shifts: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm Pay rate: £14.80 per hour
- Nights: 10pm to 6am Pay rate: £16.40 per hour
- Temp to perm opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a production team to achieve daily targets
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Maximise production line efficiency and minimise downtime
- Monitor and reduce waste across the production process
- Coordinate agency and permanent staff effectively
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and hygiene standards
- Complete production paperwork and documentation accurately
- Use internal systems to track performance and maintain records
- Support the training and development of new starters
- Conduct return to work meetings and support disciplinary processes when required
- Assist with continuous improvement projects and audits
Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Production Line Leader, Line Leader, or Team Leader within manufacturing or food production
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience working to KPIs and production targets
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
