We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to support our client’s busy Residential Property team based in Witney. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a dynamic and supportive legal practice, where your contributions make a genuine impact.

About the Role:

In this vital role, you'll provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the property team, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and managing legal files, producing and formatting documents, and handling general administrative tasks
  • Audio typing of standard and non-standard legal correspondence
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post, photocopying, scanning, and archiving documents
  • Communicating with clients in person, over the phone, and via email to handle queries efficiently
  • Liaising with estate agents, solicitors, and other third parties
  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Maintaining and updating the case management system
  • Performing any other duties required to support the team

About You:

We are looking for someone who is professional, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant, ideally within a property team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • High levels of speed and accuracy in typing and document production
  • A confident and clear telephone manner, with excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with case management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do approach
  • A friendly and approachable personality, comfortable working with clients and colleagues alike
  • Smart, professional presentation and a commitment to excellent client service
