IT Technician Assistant

We are currently looking for an IT Technician Assistant to help in the IT department. You must also hold an enhanced DBS. The role of the IT Technician Assistant is based in Quorn and consists of 37 hours per week. The position is until Easter but could well be longer. Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Thursday – 8am to 4pm Friday – 8am to 3.30pm As an IT Technician Assistant you will be responsible for: Provide outstanding support throughout the site and to promote and develop IT and other technical support. To perform maintenance and deletion of network user accounts To maintain and repair printers To support the client’s software systems To help maintain the internet filtering system To implement maintenance and ensure the functionality of ICT suites To undertake PC rebuilds and software restoration Answer general phone enquiries and record ICT requests To ensure that PAT testing is carried out following statutory guidance To ensure inventories are maintained To administer bookings and distribution of equipment in line with medias booking systems To assist and support in setting up and checking of equipment for all client events To help maintain the digital displays around the site To provide additional cover for other technical areas where appropriate To undertake instruction and training as required Operating responsibilities: The nature of the work may involve the candidate carrying out work outside of normal working hours The role will involve the candidate carrying out work across the site Ability to work both as part of a team and independently Key competencies: Reliability and integrity Excellent interpersonal skills Good relationships with the client The ability to manage time effectively The ability to function effectively under pressure The ability, when necessary, to act quickly and decisively Good judgment and knowing when to seek advice or support Prepared to show initiative For more information, please call Jane at The Recruitment Group in Loughborough on (phone number removed).
