About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established employer and support their continuing growing business. We are looking for a proactive HR Officer to play a key role in delivering a full range of HR services from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and training coordination. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about people, processes, and driving positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees
- Support line managers with performance management processes
- Handle employee relations, absence management, and policy updates
- Coordinate training, benefits, and engagement initiatives
- Maintain accurate HR systems and support payroll administration
- Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practice
- Promote employee engagement initiatives
- Administration of company benefits
- Participate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is available and accurate
What We’re Looking For
- Previous HR experience, ideally within logistics but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR processes
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards)
- A proactive, flexible approach and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Proactive and problem-solving attitude
