A well-established precision engineering and motorsport manufacturing business based in Witney is looking to recruit an Engineering Technician to join their growing team and focus primarily on quality control. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering or manufacturing background who enjoys working with precision components and has experience reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment. Previous quality experience is not essential; training will be provided.

The Role

Working closely with the production and engineering teams, you will be responsible for inspecting components and finished products to ensure they meet the required standards before production and dispatch. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting incoming components and finished products
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges
  • Identifying and reporting any issues or non-conforming parts
  • Recording inspection results and supporting quality documentation
  • Supporting general quality and inspection activities across the workshop
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working area

What We're Looking For

  • Engineering, manufacturing or workshop background
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience using manual measuring equipment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Methodical and organised approach to work
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience within automotive, motorsport or precision engineering
  • Previous inspection or quality experience
