We are currently looking for experienced and competent Electrical Fitters for a reputable client of ours based in Rugby.

Job purpose: Reporting to the Manufacturing & Production Manager and having accountability for the electrical or mechanical build for assigned tasks; the individual shall work as part of a team and be responsible for the self-inspection of assembled components including quality compliance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Wiring in accordance with regulations and electrical engineering drawings/work to samples.
  • Install, test, commission, maintain and build electrical systems and components.
  • Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade including power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments.
  • Locate and repair faults in electrical power supply equipment.
  • Carry out mechanical fitting and relevant assembly work.
  • Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Correctly instruct, supervise and transfer skills to any apprentice and semi-skilled led worker assigned to you to ensure safety and quality of work.
  • Test all products safely.
  • Use safety equipment, PPE and protective devices and equipment.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as an electrical fitter.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and codes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
