Machinist in Bradford

Location: Bradford, BD4
Hours: Full Time on a rotating shift pattern
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 generous shift premium
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Machinist to join their production team. This hands‑on role involves setting and operating production equipment in a controlled factory environment, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate machine tools accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
• Report tooling issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the work area in line with 5S and TPM standards.
• Support quality and manufacturing teams in reducing scrap and improving performance.
• Mentor apprentices and contribute to their development.
• Uphold health & safety standards and respond to issues proactively.
• Compliance with internal risk management and equality policies.

What We’re Looking For

• Engineering apprenticeship trained to national standard (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ machining experience (CNC preferred).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to train and support others.
• Positive attitude and professional work ethic.
