We have an exciting opportunity for an Audio Visual (AV) Technician for our client based in Loughborough. The role of Audio Visual (AV) technician will involve both the preparation and maintenance of equipment. Please note that this is a temp to perm role.
Pay for the Audio Visual (AV) – temp to perm: £12.26 to £15.38 per hour depending on experience.
Hours: Monday – Friday – 9am to 5pm. Must be flexible to work odd weekends, evenings & Bank Holidays and any extra hours that are required.
About the role:To work across all technical disciplines related to the delivery of items required for various destinations. This role will involve both the preparation and maintenance of equipment at the Client’s premises and operation of putting up and taking down equipment on site.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Preparing and testing equipment ahead of being needed
- Preparing stock items
- Ensuring equipment is safely packed and loaded for dispatch
- Maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment
- Assist on delivering bespoke solutions (custom interactive displays, LED tape, electronics, 3D printing, QLab programming)
- Loading/unloading vehicles, wrapping/packaging of items, stock checking, keeping the warehouse organised and tidy
- On Site (depending on knowledge and experience level): Installing and set up of equipment and items at the required destinations
- Operating equipment as required
Please note our work includes events across the UK and internationally.
General:To work at all times within agreed Health and Safety practices and to follow company procedures. Maintain a knowledge of technical specialisms. Undertaking sufficient professional development as required, ensuring skills are up to date. Skills and Expertise:- Must have a full & clean driving licence
- FLT licence would be advantageous
- Strong IT skills including knowledge of MS Office
- Experience of operating technical equipment in a live environment under pressure
- A good knowledge of all technical disciplines including sound, lighting, video, rigging and power would be advantageous
- Good problem solving, team working, communication and organisation skills
- May be required to travel within the UK and internationally
