A growing precision engineering company is looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join its modern manufacturing team. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce complex precision components to tight tolerances.

The Role

  • Programming, setting, and operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC milling machines
  • Working from detailed engineering drawings
  • Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
  • Creating tooling and setup documentation for repeatable manufacturing processes
  • Self-inspection using measuring equipment and quality documentation
  • Supporting continuous improvement and process optimisation
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional working environment

About You

  • Strong CNC milling background within precision engineering
  • Experience programming and operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis machines
  • Good knowledge of Heidenhain controls; Fanuc experience would be beneficial
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working to tight tolerances
  • Positive attitude with strong attention to detail and quality

Desirable Experience

  • Doosan, Matsuura, or Mazak machinery
  • Large component machining
  • CMM or inspection experience
  • Apprenticeship trained or equivalent engineering experience
