We are working with an established manufacturer in Littleborough who are looking for a Workshop Operative.

The Job:

  • Accurately assembling door frames and door sets according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Inspecting finished products for accuracy, compliance with standards (e.g., fire safety), and overall quality.
  • Preparing finished doors for storage or dispatch, which may involve wrapping.
  • Scanned all packed orders prior to shipping and shipped them on time.
  • Compared and matched all product numbers and order descriptions efficiently.

About you:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
  • Experience with power tools including drills, saws, or grinders is advantageous.
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to deal with customers in a professional manner.
  • Team player with a can-do flexible attitude.
  • Confidence to work on your own using your initiative to get jobs done.
