Our client has been at the forefront of car and commercial vehicle repairs for over 40 years. Their experience has enabled them to sustain growth in the market by offering a ‘Total Service Package’ all under one roof.
We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified MET Technician to join their prestigious centre in Rochdale. The role is to perform strip and refit of mechanical repairs to damaged vehicles and key responsibilities and skills required include:
- Removal and replacement of non-structural damaged parts
- Mechanical component removal & replacement
- Remove and replace mechanical trim and electrical components
- Inspecting vehicles and carrying out mechanical repairs to various vehicles
- Responsible for keeping a daily log of job descriptions for work carried out
- Ensuring that each job has relevant methods attached to the job
- Ability to address or solve issues as they arise and seek guidance if required
- Self-motivated to achieve the tasks within the given time scales & improve service levels
- Ability to communicate with colleagues and customers alike
- Accountable for cleanliness with the workplace ensuring a clean tidy work area at all times
- Awareness of customer service ethics and expectations of meeting the customers' needs
To be considered for this role the ideal candidate will have:
- Valid Senior MET ATA Accreditation or City and Guilds Equivalent
- Key skills in English and Maths & Level 3 in Vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge & experience in Auto Electrical & diagnostic repairs
- Evacuate and recharge Air Conditioning systems & Removal and refit of SRS components
The hours for the role are 7.30 to 5.00 Monday to Friday with overtime available. In return for the above you will be offered a highly competitive package working for a well-respected independent family-owned business.
