A global manufacturer offering long term prospects and an excellent working environment. The role involves 37.5 hours per week with flexitime.
On behalf of a global manufacturing company based in Rochdale, we are recruiting for a Test Technician who will be responsible for testing sub-assembly and final assembly items in accordance with defined test procedures.
Key duties include:
- Test sub and top assemblies to support manufacturing processes
- Diagnosing and analysing failures down to component level
- Completion of test reports and records in accordance with defined test procedures
- Support design and NPI teams in developing test schedules for new products
- Perform test equipment maintenance as defined within appropriate maintenance procedures
- Compose and edit test procedures and instructions, if required
- Design and build bespoke test equipment cabling, fixtures, tooling etc.
- Support of avionics test and environmental test activities
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Engineering/technical experience in electronics assembly testing and diagnostics
- Knowledge and experience of testing and diagnosing both AC and DC power products is preferable
- Understanding of drawings and schematics of products and trace the root cause of a failure
- Excellent cross-functional team working skills
- Possess self-motivation, drive and commitment
- Ability to work to strict deadlines with minimal supervision
