Are you a skilled CNC Manual Turner available immediately for work? Join one of the UK’s specialist engineering companies on a Fixed Term Contract. We need the candidate to have a strong mechanical knowledge. This role requires precision and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for fabricating components and ensuring they meet the required specifications.
The Job
- Operate manual turning machines to produce high-quality components
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in fabrication
- Perform milling operations as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct materials handling and assembly tasks as part of the production process
- Use hand tools effectively for adjustments and repairs on machinery
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality
About you
- Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or a related field
- Familiarity with Webster Bennetts machines would be desirable but not essential
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset, particularly in materials handling and assembly tasks
- Be able to operate manual machines such as vertical borer, lathes, mills and grinders to machine precision parts
- Knowledge of welding techniques is beneficial but not essential
