On behalf of our award winning customer who specialises in service and repair of premium brand vehicles, we are seeking a Vehicle Recovery driver to join their busy team. Allocated your own truck, you would be working within one of the UK's most modern and professional vehicle salvage agents and parts recyclers. You will be required to work flexible shifts Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm plus weekends when required. The role involves collecting accident damaged and end-of-life vehicles from various depots, salvage agents, body shops, garages and private households all over the UK.
The successful candidate will need to have a valid commercial driving licence (LGV C + E / HGV Class 1) along with good mechanical and recovery knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment following health and safety at all times.
- Perform truck and trailer inspections before and after each trip.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate records ensuring paperwork adequately signed and completed.
- Be able to work night outs as and when required.
- A valid and up to date CPC card.
- Excellent driving skills.
- Ability to drive long hours, travel long and short distances, stay away overnight.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
