Our client in Hyde, a leading supplier in their chosen sector, is looking for a Product Design Engineer who will be responsible for the continuous development of existing products and new designs from prototype to production items. The role will involve:
- Development of current products
- Creating new designs for the industry
- Working on conceptual designs through prototype, testing, to pre-production samples and final component approval
The client works in a 3D environment using the latest software package to generate part, assembly, and detailed manufacturing drawings. They also perform various analysis tasks such as FEA and MoldFlow.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years CAD experience and knowledge in the use of the Microsoft Office package.
The Job:
- Using Autodesk Inventor Product Design suite to develop new and updated designs of window shading products
- Prototype and test new concepts
- Liaise with internal departments to create manufacturing and installation instructions
- Create images/renders for catalogue and promotional literature
