The job involves:
- Building specialised machinery within established build times, carrying out fitting and assembly.
- Following planned operations to completion at prescribed production rates to meet customer delivery schedules in accordance with Company H&S and Quality Policies.
- Fitting and assembling mechanical components exposed to motors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Collaborating with colleagues and providing training if required.
- Servicing and repairing clients' equipment, from heavy plant machinery to other general mechanical work.
Skills required:
- Mechanical fitter experience.
- Basic metalwork functions, drilling, tapping, and machining.
- Ability to work to a high level of quality.
- Good attendance record and excellent time-keeping.
- Able to work in a safe manner in line with the company's Health & Safety policies.
- Competent in reading engineering drawings.
About you:
- Formal apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Competent and experienced fitter with a solid background in engineering.
- Ideally have an understanding/knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Upskilling and cross-functional development via grading scheme.
- Further education opportunities.
