  • GBP20.71 – GBP22.43
  • 4 day or 5 day working week

The job:

  • To build specialised machinery, within established build times, carrying out fitting and assembly.
  • Follow planned operations to completion at prescribed production rates to meet customer delivery schedule in accordance with Company H&S and Quality Policies
  • Fit and assemble Mechanical components exposed to motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and provide training if required.
  • Must have relevant mechanical fitting experience. Able to carry out tests and work from technical drawings. Servicing and repairing clients equipment, from heavy plant machinery to other general mechanical work.

  • Mechanical fitter experience
  • Basic metalwork functions, drilling, tapping and machining
  • Ability to work to a high level of quality
  • Must have good attendance record and excellent time-keeping
  • Able to work in safe manner in line with the company s Health & Safety policies
  • Competent in reading engineering drawings

About you:

  • Formal apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Competent and Experienced Fitter with solid background in Engineering.
  • Ideally have an understanding/knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Upskilling and cross-functional development via grading scheme
  • Further Education opportunities
