A global leading cable solutions manufacturer is looking to add a Toolmaker to a well-established team. The Toolmaker role will provide support in the manufacture of injection moulding tools.
The Job:
- Experience with using software (such as PowerMill, PowerShape and Power Inspect) to create models and electrodes for the EDM Process.
- Using this software to complete the EDM process.
- Familiarity with inspecting the resulting work using CMM and 3D Profiling Machines.
- Creating Inspection reports for Quality Control and external auditors.
- Prides themselves on the high quality and accuracy of their moulds.
- Collaborate effectively with other stakeholders, including the Toolroom manufacture and maintenance teams, Tool Design, Production Planning, Project Management and Technical Teams.
About you:
- Applicants ideally will have completed a level 3 toolmaking/engineering-based apprenticeship and have at least 5 years' experience working within a toolmaking role.
- Experience within a high cavitation plastic injection moulding environment.
- Experience of optimizing EDM Machine Processes and Creating/Using Automated EDM Cells.
