On behalf of a global manufacturing company, based near Rochdale, we are recruiting for a Shift Team Leader to manage and lead a small team of Production Machine Operatives. Ideally with previous knowledge working with Engineered Textiles or laminating, the purpose of the role is:
- Ensuring the full management of direct resources (personnel and machinery) on a shift.
- Responsible for production, quality, ensuring demands are fulfilled.
- Effectively servicing the customer.
- Compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards, ensuring all are met for self and production teams.
- Delivery of operational projects.
- Continuous improvement using proven methods (For example, Root Cause Analysis and Plan/Do/Check/Act).
- Continual development of production personnel utilising available training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management / development / leadership of a production team.
- Production requirements are met, operational targets are achieved whilst ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental standards are delivered.
- Quality of products are to standard and to customer requirements ensuring the correct training is delivered.
- Management of monitoring systems and generation of relevant reports.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years similar experience in a previous role gained in a manufacturing environment. Along with an ongoing desire to deliver continuous improvement, you will possess excellent development, communication and customer service skills.
