Our client based in Burnley has a reputation for innovation and they are a highly successful global player in their chosen industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a buying/planning assistant.
The Job
- Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts and customer orders.
- Monitor production plans and flag potential material shortages or capacity issues.
- Liaise with production teams to track progress and respond to changes or delays.
- Liaise with R&D regarding new product introduction and changes to existing production BOMβs.
- Monitor supplier lead times and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Support purchasing by raising and managing purchase orders as needed.
- Produce reports relating to stock levels, supplier performance, or production planning and efficiency as required.
About you
- Good communication and manner.
- Experience with Microsoft NAV or similar ERP systems, or the ability to learn and absorb quickly.
- Good numeracy and commercial skills, with MS Excel prowess.
- Preferred Capabilities: Previous experience with MS NAV in similar role.
