We are working with a respected client in Rochdale who are recruiting for a Production Engineer due to expansion to support function to all areas of production.
The Job
- CAD knowledge (Solidworks)
- Experience of 4 and 5-axis machining techniques
- Experience of CNC Lathes
- Execution of manufacturing engineering tasks to deadlines
- Creation of process specifications
- Support the department with Routings, BOMs, Production Orders, Costings
- Knowledge of ERP systems preferably SAP
- Provide support and expertise to optimise and improve process capability and yield
- Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders e.g., Purchasing, Engineering, Group etc
About you
- Experience of working in a technical/engineering environment medium to heavy engineering
- Knowledge of Hard Surface welding methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- SolidWorks 3D Modelling
- Project management skills
- Creating BOMs and routings
- Preparation of costings for intercompany production
- Lean principles, Waste reduction, efficiency improvements, process flow, etc
- Formal technical qualification craft/technician level machining-biased apprenticeship up to HNC/HND level in Mechanical/Production Engineering
