Our client has been at the forefront of car and commercial vehicle repairs for over 40 years. Their experience has enabled them to sustain growth in the market by offering a Total Service Package all under one roof.

We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified Commercial Vehicle Fabricator to join their prestigious centre in Rochdale. The purpose of the role is to carry out repairs to a variety of vehicle damage. Key responsibilities and skills required include:

  • Experience of trailer repairs including internal and external components essential
  • Experience of vehicle body repairs/building
  • Experience of tail lift repairs/servicing advantageous
  • Repairs to trailer chassis and structural MIG steel and aluminium
  • Proficient in OXY/ACETYLENE heating and cutting
  • A sound understanding of fabrication and welding
  • Ability to propose practical solutions to a wide variety of projects using safe working practices
  • Work as a team member and complete all tasks to a high standard in a professional manner
  • Ability to work under own initiative although there will be guidance and advice from work colleagues
  • Motivated
  • Good at following instructions with strong working standards
  • Able to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Holding an up-to-date forklift truck licence would be advantageous

The hours for the role are 7.30 to 5.00 Monday to Friday with overtime available. In return for the above, you will be offered a highly competitive package working for a well-respected independent family-owned business.
