Our client is an award-winning, independent family-owned manufacturing company. On their behalf, we are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their busy Nights Shift team.
The Job
- You’ll be responsible for attending to mechanical faults and carrying out reactive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing machinery.
- A team player with the ability to work productively and easily with others.
- Setting standards on machines and training others to set up and make improvements.
- Assisting in the setup of machines.
- Fault diagnosis.
- Excellent communicator.
- Ability to work well and calmly under pressure.
- Flexible and approachable.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Diagnosing mechanical breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
- Minimising downtime and ensuring continued production.
In addition, you’ll need the following:
- Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Time-served Engineer with demonstrable experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Familiarity with textile manufacturing machinery is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breakdowns.
Hours of Work are: Nights, Weekend Call Outs on a rota basis.
In return, the company offers a very competitive salary up to £46,000 per annum + overtime along with secure and interesting employment.
