Our client based in Huddersfield is looking for a Mechanical Industrial Gearbox Fitter on a permanent basis. The client is an established engineering company and is looking for candidates with gearbox fitting experience.
The Job
- Responsible for the strip down, inspection, rebuild and testing of Helical, Worm, Bevel Helical, Spur Gearboxes ranging from 150kg to 10 tonnes.
- Able to carry out tests and work from technical drawings.
- Servicing and repairing clients' equipment, from heavy plant machinery to other general mechanical work.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Working across a range of industries so every job is different.
About you
- Gearbox fitting experience.
- Strong mechanical background with the ability to read drawings and work to tight tolerances.
- A proactive, safety-conscious approach to work.
- Driving license preferred.
