Mechanical Fitter – Days or Shifts
- £17.26 – £22.43 (pay award pending) plus additional increments via skills grading scheme plus shift allowance

The job:
- To build specialised machinery, within established build times, carrying out fitting and assembly.
- Follow planned operations to completion at prescribed production rates to meet customer delivery schedule in accordance with Company H&S and Quality Policies
- Fit and assemble Mechanical components exposed to motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues and provide training if required.
- Must have relevant mechanical fitting experience. Able to carry out tests and work from technical drawings. Servicing and repairing clients equipment, from heavy plant machinery to other general mechanical work.
Skills:
- Mechanical fitter experience
- Basic metalwork functions, drilling, tapping and machining
- Ability to work to a high level of quality
- Must have good attendance record and excellent time-keeping
- Able to work in safe manner in line with the companys Health & Safety policies
- Competent in reading engineering drawings
About you:
- Formal apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Competent and Experienced Fitter with solid background in Engineering.
- Ideally have an understanding/knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Upskilling and cross-functional development via grading scheme
