Permanent role in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Up to £38,000 per annum. Hours of work: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Operations Co-ordinator to join their existing team. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working in a small team, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company.
Core Responsibilities:- Co-ordinating day-to-day operations, including scheduling and monitoring logistics.
- Daily operation of weighbridge for Goods In & Out.
- Handling Waste Transfer procedures and related documentation.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for enquiries and service updates via phone and email.
- Processing paperwork, maintaining accurate databases, generating reports, and managing compliance documentation.
- Assisting with invoicing, purchasing, and supporting sales or management teams.
- Previous experience in a helpdesk, customer service, or administrative role, preferably within logistics or waste management.
- Knowledge of the waste industry, environmental services, or experience with transport software is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of finance procedures.
- Experience with performing Bank Reconciliations.
- Raising sales ledger invoices using Sage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle enquiries and liaise with drivers/crews.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to learn new software systems.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage high-volume workloads, and manage time effectively.
