Industrial Installation Electrician Competitive salary + OT - on target earnings of £52,000 per annum plus Good company culture Company Van and paid travel Good overtime rates Career Development Our client in Heywood is seeking an experienced Industrial Installation Electrician to install and wire electrical control systems, machinery and associated equipment at customer sites. This is a hands-on role involving control panel wiring, cable containment installation, power and control cabling, and the connection of motors, sensors and other field devices. You will work from electrical drawings, carry out testing and fault finding, and support the commissioning of completed installations. Key responsibilities Install electrical systems for industrial machinery, production equipment and control systems. Install trunking, cable basket, cable tray, conduit and associated supports. Install, identify, gland and terminate power, control and instrumentation cables. Install and connect motors, isolators, sensors, switches, actuators and other field devices. Install low-voltage power supplies and distribution circuits serving control panels, machinery and associated equipment, with lighting installations where required. Complete work neatly and accurately in accordance with drawings, specifications and applicable electrical standards. Assemble and wire electrical control panels and associated equipment from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Carry out field wiring between control panels, machinery and site equipment. Identify and label cables, terminals and components clearly. Check wiring against drawings and report discrepancies to the relevant manager or supervisor. Record installation changes so that drawings can be updated accurately. Inspect and test electrical installations within the scope of your qualifications and competence. Complete test results and installation records accurately. Diagnose and rectify electrical wiring and connection faults. Support commissioning engineers with electrical checks, equipment testing and fault finding. About you Travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas as required. City and Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent AM2 / AM2S IET 18th Edition Practical experience of industrial electrical installation work. Experience wiring electrical control panels from schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience Installing trunking, cable basket, cable tray and conduit. Experience Installing and terminating power and control cables. Connecting motors, sensors and other industrial field devices.
