Are you an apprenticeship trained CNC Miller? Currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a very busy specialist engineering company in Hyde.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis as applicable)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Create part programmes when necessary
- Load programs, set tool offsets, and perform test runs
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments
- Carry out in process inspection using measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.)
- Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Identify and correct machining defects or errors
- Follow health, safety, and quality procedures at all times
- Record production data and report issues to supervisors or engineers
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Machinist
- Strong understanding of CNC milling operations and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
