We are working with a well-respected engineering company in Atherton who manufacture medium to heavy engineered components. Due to continued growth and an expanding order book, they are recruiting for CNC Millers on day shifts and back shifts.

The Job

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls
  • Producing one-off, large, precision components to tight tolerances
  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
  • Writing new programs and editing existing ones directly at the machine
  • Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies for efficient production
  • Working independently with minimal supervision in a heavy engineering workshop

About you

  • Engineering NVQ Level 3 or formal apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Confident with Fanuc programming and operation of large-capacity CNC mills
  • Ability to work from technical drawings and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
