Currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a very busy specialist engineering company in Hyde.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis as applicable)

Read and interpret engineering drawings

Create part programmes when necessary

Load programs, set tool offsets, and perform test runs

Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job

Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments

Carry out in process inspection using measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.)

Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements

Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting

Identify and correct machining defects or errors

Follow health, safety, and quality procedures at all times

Record production data and report issues to supervisors or engineers

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Machinist

Strong understanding of CNC milling operations and tooling

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T

Knowledge of CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Heidenhain)

Experience with CAM software is an advantage

High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Technical diploma or apprenticeship in machining or manufacturing

2+ years of CNC milling experience (or as required by employer)

What you get

Salary starting at Β£18.37 per hour

Hours of work Mon to Thurs 7.45am 5pm Fri 7.45 10.45am + regular overtime available

Pension contributions where the company contributes 5%

Generous holiday scheme, 25 days a year plus 8 statutory days also we offer service days where you get 1 extra day for every 5 years service. xiskglj
