Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in ductwork, HVAC or building services to join a growing contractor involved in commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of pre- and post-contract duties and experience managing project finances for ductwork or M&E packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project costs from initial estimates through to final accounts.
- Prepare and submit valuations, variations and interim applications.
- Liaise with operational teams to monitor project progress and forecast costs.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support commercial decisions.
- Ensure financial risks and opportunities are managed effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience as a QS within the ductwork, HVAC or broader building services sector.
- Excellent commercial acumen and contract knowledge (JCT/NEC).
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
