We’re working in partnership with a leading specialist subcontractor that delivers high-quality ductwork and M&E installations across commercial, residential, healthcare, and large-scale infrastructure projects in London. With a growing project pipeline (including multiple £5m+ packages), the business is looking to strengthen its operations team with experienced Project Managers who have solid ductwork knowledge.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating mechanical installation packages, with a strong focus on ductwork, from pre-construction through to handover. You'll oversee site delivery, liaise closely with main contractors and consultants, and ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and to high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Manage ductwork packages from inception to completion across multiple sites
- Coordinate site teams, supervisors, and subcontract labour
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors professionally
- Ensure works are delivered to programme, spec, and quality standards
- Monitor and control project budgets and labour allocation
- Lead project meetings and report progress to senior leadership
- Identify risks and mitigate delays or issues as they arise
- Ensure health & safety compliance at all times
- 3+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in ductwork, HVAC, or wider M&E subcontracting
- Proven experience running packages of £1m+ on live construction sites
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and coordination skills
- Good commercial and contractual awareness
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specs
- SMSTS / CSCS / First Aid (preferred)
- Solid project pipeline with long-term security
- Autonomy to run your own jobs with supportive leadership
