Do you know your LTV from your DIP? Can you talk mortgages without putting your clients to sleep? If you’re a qualified Mortgage Advisor with a knack for helping people find the right deal (and maybe calming the occasional first-time buyer meltdown), this might be the job for you.
Our client, a well-established independent estate agency with three busy branches, is looking for a switched-on Mortgage Advisor to join their in-branch team looking after three offices. Leads are warm, the kettle’s always on, and the sales team are ready to work with you (not against you - we promise).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Giving clear, tailored mortgage advice that won’t require a finance degree to understand.
- Carrying out thorough fact-finds and affordability checks (yes, the FCA will be proud of you).
- Offering mortgage products from a quality panel of lenders, plus protection and insurance for peace of mind.
- Partnering with the sales team to turn property hunters into happy homeowners.
- Staying on top of market trends, lender criteria, and the ever-changing world of compliance.
- Keeping your admin in shape so compliance doesn’t chase you down (again).
- Being the calm, confident voice your clients need during one of life’s biggest purchases.
What We’re Looking For:
- CeMAP (or equivalent) qualified - your badge of honour.
- A background in mortgage advising - estate agency or brokerage experience is a big plus.
- Sharp understanding of mortgage markets and regulations.
- A people person with great communication skills (bonus points if you can explain APR in plain English).
- Self-driven, target-hitting, and business-minded.
- Organised, detailed, and cool under pressure - like a spreadsheet ninja.
- A UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred - unless you enjoy running between branches.
Perks of the Job:
- Solid basic salary and uncapped commission - earn what you’re worth.
- Steady stream of leads from a supportive, proactive sales team.
- A genuinely great bunch of colleagues in a respected local agency.
- Office banter, strong brews, and the occasional Friday treat (custard creams optional but encouraged).
