A well established, award winning and multi-branch estate agent is looking for an enthusiastic individual with current experience working for an estate and lettings agency in the UK. The ideal candidate will work within the lettings and property management departments. There will be a mixture of tasks involved in the role assisting with all departments in both the Birmingham City Centre and Edgbaston branches.
Job Role (in brief)
- Receipt rents
- Tenancy rent reconciliation
- Generate landlord statements
- Pay landlords, suppliers, and tenants
- Client account access and processing authorization
- Rent arrears
- Contractor invoicing
- NLA overseas landlord HMRC tax payments
- Chase outstanding invoices
- Cash cheques
- Generate and issue sales and lettings invoices
- Accounts reporting
- Property Management assistance
- Covering staff when required
- Answering the phone and dealing with enquiries
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience working for an estate or lettings agency
- Proficient on property technology and property management applications
- Good general knowledge of Birmingham City Centre and Edgbaston areas
- Willingness to work as a team and assist other team members
- Ability to work on your own effectively
- Smart, proactive, enthusiastic, and confident when in an office and public environment
- Able to work efficiently in a busy office environment
- Competent with MS Office, Outlook, and property management software
- Excellent telephone manner
- Competent representing the company with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- Preferably have a car and clean driver’s license but not essential
Salary and Benefits
- Good starting salary of £22,000, negotiable depending on experience
- Flexible working hours
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile
- Pension package (NEST)
- Parking space if required
- 24-hour use of Birmingham City Centre branch gym, showers, changing rooms and communal space
- Laptop and ability to work from home on request
Hours
- 9.00 to 5.30 Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays 9.00-13.00 (Saturday hours may change in order to be competitive in the market)
- Will consider part time and more flexible hours for the right candidate
