We are exclusively working with an award winning, successful HR consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior HR Advisor with a passion for employee relations. You will be responsible for working in partnership with a variety of SME clients to handle complex HR matters and offer credible HR advice with a pragmatic consultative approach. You will be working as part of an established team of HR and compliance professionals, who pride themselves on delivering an exceptional service to small business owners and managers, providing full employment lifecycle support and HR tools and advice to support.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant experience in handling a high volume of employee relations cases in particular related to TUPE and redundancy, with the ability to be client focused to provide a tailored solution rather than process driven. This is a full time office based position working Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm, working from an impressive office setting on the outskirts of Redditch. Free parking is available onsite. Due to the office location, you must be a driver with your own car.

Role and responsibilities:

  • As a Senior HR Advisor / HR Consultant, you will support SME clients across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on providing practical HR and employment law advice on complex disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, restructuring, redundancy and TUPE matters.
  • Provide outstanding HR consultancy support to managers and business owners via telephone, email and virtual meetings, responding to queries and coaching clients in a timely, friendly and professional manner with close attention to detail.
  • Undertake and manage a variety of employee relations cases and HR project work in a planned, organised and systematic way, ensuring advice provided is accurate, commercially focused and best serves the client.
  • Support clients with change management and restructuring projects, including redundancy consultations and TUPE processes.
  • Produce high-quality letters, forms, templates, policies, procedures, structures and HR documentation to support clients with their HR and employment law needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, casework and project activity on the CRM and internal systems.
  • Work collaboratively with HR Advisors and wider colleagues to deliver an exceptional client service experience.
  • Prepare content and deliver practical HR and employment law training sessions, learning lunches and presentations for clients, prospects and internal colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain strong, credible working relationships with clients by understanding their needs and developing tailored HR solutions.
  • Write blogs, articles and newsletter content on employment law and HR topics to support client engagement and showcase expertise.
  • Occasionally attend client meetings and events where travel may be required.

Required qualifications & skills:

  • Significant demonstrable experience of working in a similar Senior HR Advisor or HR Consultant position is essential.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HR and employment law and experience of managing volume of employee relations casework in particular TUPE and redundancy.
  • Ability to offer commercial solutions with the ability to understand the whole picture with clients and collaborate with them on options and practical solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in smaller business environments in a collaborative manner.
  • Consultative, adaptable and empathetic nature.
  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 minimum.
