We are working on behalf of our client, an award‑winning business, who are seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to support the continued growth and success of the business. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an ambitious sales professional looking to develop their career within a fast‑growing organisation, where you will play a key role in expanding the client base and strengthening market presence across the UK.
As a Business Development Executive, you will focus on generating and qualifying new business opportunities, appointment booking, building strong relationships with prospects and supporting the wider sales team in converting leads into long‑term contracts. This is a warm and proactive sales environment where you will engage with both SME and blue‑chip organisations across the UK. For every appointment booked you will receive 100 commission. This role offers excellent progression opportunities within a supportive and ambitious business.
Role and responsibilities
- Generating new sales leads through LinkedIn, paid data sources, research, and outbound phone activity
- Booking appointments for the BDM to attend to secure contract sales
- Identifying key decision makers and understanding business requirements
- Qualifying opportunities and developing a strong pipeline of prospects
- Managing and maintaining accurate customer data within a CRM system
- Building and nurturing relationships with prospects to create future opportunities
- Managing and optimising outreach tools such as Dripify, including tailoring AI messaging to clients
- Working closely with the Commercial Director on sales strategy and pipeline updates
- Supporting the Bid Writer with proposals and tender submissions
- Promoting the business via LinkedIn and networking activities
- Providing regular updates to the BDM and senior leadership team
Skills and experience required
- Minimum 1 year experience in B2B sales, telesales, sales or business development essential
- Proven ability to generate leads and build client relationships
- Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and target‑driven
- Experience within facilities management sector is desirable
- Experience selling contract‑based services is advantageous
