Warehouse Operative / Parcel Sorter Washington (NE37)
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading parcel courier client based in Washington (NE37). We are looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives / Parcel Sorters to join the team on an ongoing basis, with permanent opportunities available for the right candidates.
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Washington, NE37
Pay Rates:
Inbound Shift: From £12.71 per hour
Night Shift: From £13.00 per hour
Available Shifts:
Inbound: 2:00pm Finish
Nights: 10:30pm Finish
Shift Length: Shifts are usually between 810 hours , however all shifts are until finish , so flexibility is essential.
Start Date: Immediate Starts Available
The Role As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Sorting and organising incoming parcels accurately and efficiently.
Scanning parcels using handheld scanners.
Loading and unloading trailers safely.
Moving parcels through the warehouse to the correct locations.
Ensuring parcels are labelled and sorted correctly for dispatch.
Identifying damaged parcels and reporting them in line with company procedures.
Working as part of a team to meet daily targets in a fast-paced environment.
Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised at all times.
Following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to work in a physically demanding role and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
Comfortable lifting and moving parcels of varying sizes and weights.
Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Own transport is advantageous due to shift times.
Flexibility to work until the operation has finished each day.
Full-time availability.
