HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C)

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Dundee area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Working 5 shifts out of 7 shifts across Monday to Sunday

Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

• Conducting 1-3 runs on average per shift, majority of shifts are 8 hours on average but there are some routes which can be longer.
• Delivering palletized parcels to sub depots and solus locations.
• Using tail lift/pump truck to handle pallets at sub depots.
• Handballing parcels into sheds and garages at solus locations.
• Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
• Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle.
• Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations.
• Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
