The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in the Hull area. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join the team.

Hours: Shifts across Monday to Sunday, start times between 5am-9am until finish (approximately 10-12 hour shifts).

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

  • Transporting palletised cargo using a Curtainsider to RDCs and different locations.
  • The primary focus of the position will involve driving over extended distances (approximately 9 hours of drive time).
  • Waiting for cargo loading and unloading procedures.
  • Communicating arrival and departure times, along with the trailer number, to the transport coordinators via text.
  • No need for Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, so paperwork is not necessary.
  • Facilitating trailer exchanges and trunking operations.
  • Having nights out in the cab.

Requirements:

  • Have a valid HGV Class 1 (CAT C+E) licence, along with DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience driving the relevant vehicle.
  • Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Be hard-working, reliable and flexible.
