The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based across the UK. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts: Shifts across Monday to Sunday - Full time / Part-time / AD-HOC - Weekends

Hours: Afters/Nights

Pay Rate:

  • Monday to Friday - £18.15ph PAYE
  • Saturday - £23.52ph PAYE
  • Overtime (anything over 8 hours) Monday to Saturday - £25.25ph PAYE
  • Sunday - £26.25ph PAYE - Flat rate
  • Bank Holidays - £34.23ph PAYE

Location: Burgess Hill, BN6

Job Type: Ongoing

The role: Trucking only. Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot. Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries. Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tacho card prior to being put forward for the position. Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
  • Have at least 12 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
  • Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12 pm - 9 pm (all paid at night rate).
  • Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward.
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
