The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Southampton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the team.
Roles:
- HGV Class 1 - Days
- HGV Class 1 - Nights
Hours:
- Days - Across Sunday to Saturday - 07:00am - 10:00am
- Nights - Across Sunday to Friday (Sunday and Fridays required) - 20:00pm - 03:00am starts
*Please note drivers must be available to work weekends within their availability*
Pay Rate:
- Class 1 Days - £16.50 per hour PAYE
- Class 1 Nights - £18.50 per hour PAYE
Location: Southampton, SO16
Job Type: Ongoing
The role:
- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
- Drivers will be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence for the relevant licence.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Experience on the relevant vehicle required.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
