The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Shifts across Monday to Sunday, 02:00am - 06:00am starts; Twilight Shifts Across Monday to Sunday, 13:00pm- 18:00pm starts

Pay Rate: £14.60 - £15.61 per hour

Location: Carlisle, CA6

Job Type: Ongoing

The role:

  • Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance
  • Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Some deliveries/returns from addresses
  • Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork
  • Drivers will be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C)
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A safety-first mindset
