We are hiring an Operations Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a Manufacturing site. You will oversee Health & Safety, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Materials, Logistics, and Stores, ensuring operational targets are met while driving continuous improvement, compliance, and employee engagement.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

Type: Permanent

Location: Lye, DY9 with occasional movement between sites, as the business needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HSE & Quality: Take overall responsibility for site health, safety, environmental and quality standards, driving a strong culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Production Performance: Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, customer requirements and KPIs are achieved.
  • Improve Maintenance & Engineering: Oversee maintenance, asset reliability and engineering activities, identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Manage Materials & Logistics: Oversee the efficient flow of materials, stock, stores, goods-in and despatch, ensuring safety, accuracy and customer delivery requirements are met.
  • Lead & Develop People: Provide strong leadership across the site, developing capability, engagement and accountability while fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements across safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, waste reduction and overall site performance.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Proven experience in managing a manufacturing/engineering facility or equivalent leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success improving production performance and operational KPIs.
  • Background in managing quality systems and audits.
  • Experience with maintenance/engineering operations within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Sage MRP Experience
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher).
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Knowledge of Press Shop / CNC Machinery.
